A Chrome sidebar that can motivate, reassure, and manage time. Journal, notes and timers stay on this device.

Total Commitment is a quiet companion for six necessary conditions. All six are required and carry equal weight.
Current version
Chrome sidebar: v1.5.0
This page is updated when a new sidebar is published.
The website About page and the Chrome extension use the same version number.
What is in v1.5.0
- Optional Anonymous Companion Analytics can now help improve dialogue while never sending anything you write.
- Anonymous identifiers rotate monthly, queued events are visible, and sharing is off until you choose to enable it.
- The same Companion is now available as an installable website on your phone, tablet or desktop.
- Chrome and the website share dialogue, Journal schema and privacy-first analytics.
- Core Companion, Journal, mood and intentions work offline after the first visit.
What was in v1.3.0
- Companion analytics stay on this device. They record how the Companion is used, not how a person is living.
- Export Companion Analytics from Journal or Settings. Journal text and Notes are not included.
- Import that file into the local Total Commitment analytics page to review dialogue and create an AI review package.
What was in v1.2.0
- A calm companion engine: greetings, mood, clickable replies, and quiet when nothing needs fixing.
- Moods and small intentions stay in the local journal. There is no life score.
- I am okay still closes the conversation without writing a journal entry.
What was in v1.1.6
- The companion says Good morning or Good afternoon, and sometimes Welcome to Friday.
What was in v1.1.5
- Click Update in the sidebar. It downloads the new zip into the same install and reloads.
- Do not Remove the sidebar. Removing it deletes your journal.
What was in v1.1.4
- Update by replacing the files and clicking Reload. Do not Remove the sidebar.
- Removing it from Chrome deletes your journal. A folder or downloaded copy is how you reinstall safely.
What was in v1.1.3
- An encrypted safety copy is kept on this device and refreshed at least every 24 hours.
- If a Reload cannot see your journal, yesterday's copy is restored automatically.
- You can keep a folder, or download the encrypted copy and its recovery key.
What was in v1.1.2
- Family reminds you to let people know you are okay, and to ask if they are okay.
- Learning helps you choose a simple direction: a plan, a book, or a short guide.
- Spiritual is for grounding, centering, prayer, and being allowed to ask for help.
- Companion text is centred in the sidebar.
What was in v1.1.1
- Companion prompts that match the local time of day.
- Answers that become Journal entries, so a diary is not a second job.
- Notes, search, filters, and Remember this — all stored on this device.
- Local JSON backup and restore.
- A calm coastal visual theme. No scoring, streaks, or traffic-light colours.
Privacy
Your journal, moods, notes, timers, written Companion responses and companion memory stay on this device. They are never included in anonymous analytics.
Anonymous Companion Analytics is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, Total Commitment may receive restricted product events such as which dialogue ID was shown, whether it was used or dismissed, a broad time-of-day period, and whether Chrome or the PWA was used. It measures how Total Commitment works, not how well a person is living. You can inspect the queued events and turn sharing off at any time.
Because that information stays on this device, export a backup regularly. If the app is removed, you can import that file back into the app.
